HCS and the County Chess Tournament 2014

2014 was the 14th year of the Huron County Youth Chess Tournament, hosted and sponsored by the KOC in Goderich, and was the first year of entry of HCS. Congrats to the 21 HDC players who participated in the tournament, who had been practicing at lunch hours for 2-3 months this spring. All did their best, and I am proud of each one of them. Of the 8 schools who sent students grade 1-8, only three school made it to the trophy and medal platform at the end, and I was very pleased to announce that HDC was one of them! Congrats to Cam, well done! Not forgotten are a couple of 4th place finishes, and many HCS had winning records but did not place.
